The Level 3 Instructor Qualification is intended for those who wish to start up their own or take over the running of an existing club or organisation. The qualification is tailored to those who are already teaching classes independently under the auspices of a larger club or organisation. It is aimed at those who wish to take the step into teaching independently under their own banner and as such covers many issues not directly related to martial arts. It holds a level of attainment equivalent to a Sixth Level qualification as recognised by National Qualifications Framework (NQF) akin to a Professional Diploma (PD) / Bachelors Degree as recognised by Qualifications and Curriculum Development Agency (QCDA). As a minimum a candidate wishing to enrol must have as a minimum the following:

  • 8 Years training within martial arts
  • Hold a minimum rank of 3rd Degree Black Belt (3rd Dan) or equivalent
  • Have attained a Level 2 Instructor Qualification
  • Be currently teaching martial arts within a recognised club or organisation
  • Hold a valid Enhanced CRB check
  • Hold a valid first aid qualification
  • Have as a minimum valid Instructor Insurance, Personal Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
  • Be authorised by the Chief Instructor / Group Head of the club or organisation the student is currently training at or be in position within their own framework to practice any elements of the course within the club environment.
